Eligibility (from QTC Yearbook): To be eligible for election to the Board of Governors, a nominee must be an active member in good standing of the Club for two (2) full playing seasons immediately prior to the nomination.
Members who wish to serve on the QTC board should be willing to actively participate on and/or lead committees, attend board meetings to discern, discuss and vote on proposals relative to club business and to serve as goodwill ambassadors of QTC to all of its members and our community.
Members who wish to run and have notified a nominating committee member (above) in writing of their intention to run should also prepare a short speech, to deliver to the members in attendance at the September 29th meeting, that outlines their qualifications and why they want to serve on the QTC board.
Candidates are encouraged to be there in person or send a proxy who will represent them and explain why they want to be on the QTC board.
The election will be held at the conclusion of the membership meeting Sunday, September 29th.
All current members, new and long-time, who attend the membership meeting may cast votes – there is no absentee ballot voting so you must be present at this meeting to vote.
We encourage all QTC members to attend and participate at this meeting and look forward to seeing you there.
Thank You,
Rich Griffin
